1 语料库有不少 is tinted +名词的例句，说明tint可将来接复合宾语，表示颜色的名词作宾补。比如COCA例句：Her face is tinted a shade of metallic gold that shines as if gilded.
The meat is tinted a deep gold as the marinade that clings to the surface is cooked.
Sunlight is tinted blue passing through stained glass windows.
所以在被动句中名词词组作主语补足语。
你今天看到了any further doubts, 你今天就记住原来可以用复数，不要下次又会问能否用复数。至于能否用单数，你目前就别操这份闲心，假如将来你永远也没见到用单数的，就是不可以用单数。假如你见到了，就是可以。
2 If you were to ask Harry 这就是一个虚拟语气。由于作者觉得读者是没机会问这个问题的，所以用虚拟语气。至于三种形式有什么区别，我相信你在看语法书的时候已经看到过解说，没必要重复提问。这里了解它是表示不可能达成的以后条件即可。
3 受时态一致规则的影响，宾语从句用了过去时contained。一个事件从较早的过去持续到后面的另一个过去时间，这个动作要用过去完成进行时had been developing。这个句子不可以用过去完成时。
